R. Seth Williams

R. Seth Williams is the District Attorney for the City of Philadelphia, PA. He was elected on November 3, 2009, winning more than 75% of the vote and thereby becoming the first African-American District Attorney of Philadelphia, and in the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Williams’s office has aggressively prosecuted sexual crimes against children, including those committed by Catholic clergy. In 2012, Williams became the first prosecutor in the country to obtain a conviction against a church official for endangering children by shuffling pedophile priests to different parishes.
